Frequently asked questions
Are you a background duo?
We can do live background music and dance music.
You have two options to choose from:
Option 1: Dinner & Dance Package
Option 2: Dance Package
We can do quiet dinner/background music, then lets party to all the dance hits that will get everybody up on the dancefloor with added disco lighting!

Do you have lights?
Yes, we have two lighting stands that creates lighting effects around the venue and dance floor. - included in the price. (videos)
When we choose how many hours we want you to sing, will that include the setting up and packing down?
No, we set up and pack down outside that time.. included in the price.
Can you do less than 4 hours?
Yes indeed! The 4 hours is a limit, but we can do 1, 2 or 3 hours. Whatever is required.
The price does adjust.
Do you need a deposit?
No but full payment needs to be paid on the week of the function. You will receive paperwork detailing your booking. Internet banking is preferred or cash at the beginning of the function.
Do you drink alcohol during the function?
Only water for us, great for the voice and keeps the head clear. (On occasion if offered by the customer, we will... well if we must :)
How long do you take to set up?
Approx. 40 mins and the same to pack down.
Do you have background music when you have a break?
Yes indeed, played through our PA system. Our breaks are 10 - 15 mins - top up water and a visit to the ladies/men's room if needed.(1 x brake for a 3 hour function and 2 x brakes for a 4 hour function.)
Can you sing our first dance (or a song we would like) that is not on your list?
If you give us enough notice and the song is in our skill base, ...yes we will learn your song or we can play your first dance through our PA system.
(must be organised before your wedding/function)
Do we have to supply anything?
No (just one power plug is all we need), we have everything, lighting and professional PA system.
How much room do you need?
Approx. 2m x 3m - for our equipment and lighting.
When do you set up?
We like to set up during the day well before the guests arrive. We can organise it with the venue or meet you. We can set up before we start on the night if required.
Do I need to pay a cancellation fee if the function can't go ahead?
If you cancel outside 14 days before your function, then no. That should give us time to replace it; but if you cancel within that 14 days, there will be a cancellation fee of 75% sorry.
Will you travel outside of Christchurch?
Yes indeed! We will travel anywhere in the South Island. There will be an extra charge for petrol and accommodation that may be required. Please contact us for a quote. - We are based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Why do you charge more for weddings compared to other functions?
Weddings are a lot more work.. but we don't mind. We are there for the happy couple, either learning their first dance or having special instructions through the evening or even setting up the day before the wedding if required (if we aren't working). Also working in with the photographer, organising our lighting etc. for the first dance. We have done many weddings and we are happy to help.
